VAC Biometrics Visa Document Guide – Chennai

This guide will help you prepare for your biometrics appointment at the VAC Biomatrix Center in Chennai.

1. VAC Biometrics Center – Chennai Location

• Address:Good Shepherd, No 82, Kodambakkam High Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai 600034. (Note: The US Consulate is at Gemini Circle, which is a different location, so make sure you go to the correct one for biometrics!)

• Note: Reach at least 15–30 minutes before your appointment time.
  

2. Documents to Carry

• Valid Passport (current and old, if any)

• Appointment Confirmation Letter

• DS-160 Confirmation Page (with barcode)

• Visa Fee Receipt (if applicable)

• VAC Appointment Confirmation Email
  

3. Optional / Supporting Documents

• Copy of U.S. Consulate Interview Appointment Letter

• Any supporting ID proof (e.g., Aadhaar, Driving License – for reference only)

4. Before You Go

• Confirm Your Appointment Time: Arrive no more than 30 minutes before your scheduled time. Too early won't get you in, and too late might forfeit your slot.

• Dress Code: While there's no official dress code, smart casual is recommended. You will have your photo taken, so look presentable.

• Empty Your Pockets: Only carry what you absolutely need (documents, passport, a small wallet/purse with cash/cards).

Not Allowed:

You cannot deposit these items inside the VAC center.
